Dear Parents and Students, On behalf of the award winning “Showband of the South”, the Tate High School Band would like to thank you for your interest in our program! The Tate High School Band is one of the most award-winning and highly prestigious organizations in the South with an extensive history of excellence, and we would like welcome you to join us for an information meeting on May 14, 2019 at 7:00 PM to become a part of the experience! This meeting will be in the Tate High School Band Room, and will cover information that is crucial to your success in our program. This covered information will include:
Summer Rookie Camp and Band Camp schedule
Band Classes and Expectations (Jazz Bands, Concert Bands, Eurythmics, etc.)
Academic Performance Expectations
Afterschool Rehearsal Schedule
Financial Expectations/Fundraising Opportunities

The Tate Marching Band (The Showband of the South) is a musical marching organization consisting of approximately 230 members, including wind instruments, percussion, and color guard. The Showband of the South is the most active and visible part of the Tate High School band program. The Showband has performed in various parades around the country, such as the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, the Rose Bowl Parade, a St. Patrick's Day Parade in IRELAND, the Fiesta Flambeau Parade in San Antonio, the Thanksgiving Day Parade in Philadelphia and most recently the Stars Parade at Universal Studios in Orlando.
The Showband of the South proudly supports the Tate Aggie Football team on Friday nights at home and at away games.
